With only ten days left before the official launch of Sony's PlayStation 3, doubts are still lingering as to whether or not the electronics giant will be able to deliver on their promised 400,000 units for North America. By the end of 2006, Sony forecasts to have an additional 600,000 PS3s.But even Electronic Arts doesn't seem to think so. At their press conference last week, CFO Warren Jenson predicted that there will only be about a total of 500,000 to 800,000 units sitting atop retail stores' shelves by the end of December.
In fact, even Kaz Hirai admits the probability of having shortages. In an interview, he was quoted as saying, "I ask for everybody's patience. We are pedal to the metal in terms of trying to get as many units as possible into both the Japanese and American market."
So you might get to thinking, it will be highly unfair if Sony ditches out yet again on their promise. However, Kaz Hirai has got some interesting point to that. He says that even his own household has not received a PS3 yet, thus making it fair that they are waiting for it along with everybody else. Even his 12-year old son. "He talks a good game about PlayStation 3 when he's at school, but he hasn't touched one and he hasn't seen one."
Well, yeah...we guess that's just but fair.

lol who does kaz think hes fooling, some developers got to take a ps3 home. im pretty sure the main man probably has a few laying around maybe even his dog owns one
