Keita Takahashi - Image 1Recently revealed Katamari Damacy Tribute for the PS3 is looking pretty sweet. The new art direction of going cel-shaded sounds like a keeper - but is non-druggie series creator Keita Takahashi part of this project? Sorry, but the long and short of it is: ...no.

Namco Bandai has confirmed this to Eurogamer, stating that the Katamari creator who established the first two games (Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari) on the PS2 is once again out of the picture this time around.

We can only speculate whether or not this involves some bad blood between him and the higher ups - what with his quote about Nobi Nobi Boy's dev cycle going on for too long.

Whatever the case, Takahashi started something great with those first two Katamari games. Maybe the same thing can't be said of Nobi Nobi Boy, but what the hey - at least we all know he isn't a druggie.
