PlayStation 3 The Best for Japan - Image 1It looks like Surfer Girl got it right when she said that there'd be a budget game lineup for the PS3. We're not sure if she expected it to happen on the other side of the world, however, as a Japanese online retailer recently posted listings for the first set of PS3 titles that would fall under the budget game lineup in Japan, more commonly known there as "PlayStation the Best."

According to the retailer, there will be PlayStation 3 the Best versions of Resistance: Fall of Man, FolksSoul (also known as Folklore), Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Gundam: Target in Sight, and Ridge Racer 7. These games will all sell for 3,800 yen (US$ 35) each and will arrive on March 19.

It's certainly good news for PS3 owners in Japan. We hope to get an official announcement from Sony soon. In the meantime, sit tight. Perhaps there'll be an American version of this budget lineup as well.

here's my share

ARMORED CORE 4 is also out as a budget title for Playstation 3 The Best, with box art similar to those of the PS2 best titles (original art made smaller in a bezel and the upper bezel holds the logo "Playstation The Best") and of course cheaper than normal ps3 titles.

i think some of the "PS3 The Best" titles are only 2980 yen. or 27 bucks.

» I WANT THIS!!!

I didn't get resistance, folklore nor ridge racer, but for 30$ each... maybe, lol. I'd AT LEAST buy resistance, that's for sure, and surely folklore too, at 30$.
