Jamie MacDonald: Europeans don't mind PS3's delay |

After news of the delay of PS3's launch hit, several key persons from Sony stated their own thoughts about it. You may remember that SCE UK Boss expressed disappointment in the news that PS3's release date for PAL territories has been pushed back to March next year. Many fans also voiced out their displeasure on the news.
Here comes SCE Worldwide Europe VP Jamie MacDonald stating that European consumers really don't mind the delay. In an interview, McDonald asserted thoughts that may raise eyebrows, "In Europe, it doesn't seem that the release of our platforms after the US and Japan - in the long run - affects how consumers feel."
The SCE Worldwide Europe VP also purported that Europeans will end up buying as many PlayStations, if not more, than the U.S. and Japan consumers. We could only wait and see until the PS3's release if McDonald's strong statement really assess the console's true performance in the market, as the consumers are the real "judges" in PS3's fate.

Personally I don't mind because I am betting that the initial batches will have issues, just like the 360 has done. I seem to remember a power cord recall with the original XBOX shortly after release too, and with the rumours of heat issues with PS3 in Tokyo (which I am sceptical about, but......) I am happy to let all of you Japanese and American gamers give it a thorough testing before I buy mine in March (hopefully) free of all manufacturing issues.

Lets hope for peeps who are buying it they dont pospone the March launch like they did again with the PSP to "continue to support the US and Japanese markets".

At least by then there should be a bigger library of titles by then, not that any of them will be worth owning. Afterall, the PS2 was a bucket of ***** untill Gran Turismo 3 was released, well at least thats my opinion!

Its not that we dont mind waiting, belive me we mind. I think what he meant to say was that were used to it.
We dont expect anything less than either getting it late or not enough stock.
Heck, back to the PSP, a year late and SERIOUS shortages. Why? Stock diverted to the US where it was then overstocked and sat on shelves.

"I know what we should do, lets delay the europeans, they're used to it". Sony pull your head out your ass. Screw a different territory over for once.
