Kratos - Image 1In a recent interview, God of War director and Eat, Sleep, Play co-founder David Jaffe was asked about how his original input would impact upcoming Sony PlayStation 3 biggie God of War 3. The outspoken developer had things to share that should please his fans.

"I knew where God of War III would end halfway into development of the first game," Jaffe told Gamepro. "Five months before I left Sony, I wrote what I consider to be a fantastic story for God of War III - seriously, it is awesome."

However, since he and God of War 2 director Cory Barlog are out of the Sony Santa Monica scene now, Jaffe expressed doubt as to how much of his original story plans remain intact.

"I don't know what story they're using for God of War III. I don't even know how much of my story Cory Barlog planned to use, and I talked to him about it," continues Jaffe. "Now that Cory has left Sony, I have no idea what storyline they'll use for God of War III."

But don't let that get you down. Jaffe also revealed that he had a conversation with the current God of War 3 writer who's a female freelancer (not part of Sony). Jaffe said that his original plot might hold after all.

"Her and I were talking about God of War III and we both were saying 'Yeah man, that's the story to use.' Last I heard, we were talking about maybe having a story meeting in February with the God of War III team," concludes Jaffe.

That sounds good. Nice to see Sony still trusts his word enuff to let him have a say on things even though he doesn't work for them anymore.

» To be honest

Not to mean but i think They should combined parts of jaffe, Cory with her part of a God of war 3 storyline. Cause then it would be fresh and completely new. I mean i think the reason for changing directors each game makes it fresh and new idea's come to play.

With that all of there parts could play a role in the third. I mean i don't want all of Jaffe ideas in there something fresh and different, but not taking away from what God of War is makes the game great.

Thats my opinion though, like it or not its how i see things, and would like to see.
