If you've seen the first video of Ubisoft Producer Jade Raymond talking about Assassin's Creed and its 800+ action moves, here's another interview in which she reveals more about the upcoming game.

Uncovered during E3, there's a move called "leap of faith" in our hero's arsenal. With plenty of guards coming at Altair from all over the place, fighting is not always the best choice. The "leap of faith" opens up a lot of possibilities and options for the player to lose tail and it's not there just to look cool.

Either you take the stealthy approach or run in for a killing spree, enemies are bound to find you; and they attack in swarms. When things go ugly, you'll have to turn back and try to get off their line of sight. How to do it is up to you - use the leap of faith to get out of their range, hide in a bale of hay, or mingle among civilians while in disguise.

Atmosphere will be important in this game and Raymond said they've put quite a lot of time into making Altair's world as immersive as possible. There will be all kinds of people, different accents, different clothing styles, and different lives. You can help them out by doing a monk's job or save a woman getting harassed by some hooligans. Your actions will change how NPCs react to you, so make sure you make good decisions.

We'll cover new info as they come. For now, feast your eyes on Jade Raymond the video below.

» wow... just wow

Ok I know Jade Raymond was talking but I couldn't catch anything she was saying, I had to watch this like 3 to 4 times before I could focus.

She is so beautiful, I mean wow... I have never been at a game interview and just felt like wow, who is this supermodel they got to talk about the game? Oh wait you mean she's the producer.

Jade I think I love you... If they want to sell 4 million copies of Assassin's creed then let jade do all the interviews. I was going to pass on this game but she sounds so excited about it, that she sold me. (a woman who loves video games is already exciting by it's self but one who's a producer of a hot game. Dear god, I don't think you could find that even if you had three wishes)

So I had to reserve my copy, what can I say beer and a credit card, and a beautiful woman is just never going to be a good combination.

That's just going to get my money everytime.... LoL

» Retarded

This is one of the top games that can be constituted as "next gen", and the comments appear to be from lonely 14 y/o males. Get a grip and stop commenting the same drivel just to appear to 'fit in'.

*deep breath*

The game looks fantastic, I love the idea that each button is controlling a body part. The mixture and depth of moves that could ensue from such controls is uplifting. It reminds me of Oblivion, although by the sounds of it the voice acting will be far more diverse. I get the notion AC will be very character driven, by the explanation about Altair's parents.

» wow...

do you guys not have a g/f?

you are going to buy a game just because a beautiful women advertised it?

jesus...

I'm surprised women don't rule the world instead of retarded men.

» GoW (X360's Best Game) Vs. MotorStorm (PS3's Best Game)

I’ll not post this analysis on this topic ever again. There’re so many PS3 fanboys right now who bark that PS3 is superior to X360 console; that’s why I wrote this report.

Let’s compare the best X360 game and the best PS3 game (those which have been released so far); head to head; then talk about which console is superior to another at the end. Each category is worth 100 points unless mentioned. If it’s drawn, both get half points.

I spent much time to read about 10 different reviews on both games. Most sentences below are NOT my opinions (remember this). Most sentences are from reviews I read online.

[Epic’s Gears of War Vs. Evolution’s MotorStorm]

- Gameplay (300 pts): Epic adopted and improved Resident Evil 4’s point of view; then GoW’s over-the-shoulder revolutionized the gaming industry. Now, Sony’s best future games Uncharted Drake’s Fortune and Ratchet and Clank Future (when using weapons) both use GoW’s point of view. MotorStorm (MS) is a dominator in racing. Winner: Drawn

- Graphics (300): GoW = best shooter, MS = best racer. Winner: Drawn

- Main character (200): Marcus Fenix is as memorable as Halo’s Master Chief. MS’ buggy, rally car, mudplugger, and racing trucks are ground-breaking. Winner: Drawn

- Average review score: GoW got 94 from 172 different game related publications; MS got 85 from 126 publications; many gamers bought GoW because it got extremely high review scores.

Winner: GoW

- Level of Appealing (Fun Factor) (200): GoW has deep tactical play. MS revolutionized racing genre. Winner: Drawn

- Online Modes (Multiplayer) (300): MS’ multiplay is brutal. GoW should have supported at least 8 versus 8 multiplay (4 Vs. 4 is just sub-standard). Winner: MS

- Single-player (SP): Winner: Drawn

- Weapons (200): GoW’s Lancer Assault Rifle (the gun with chainsaw) is fantastic (the powerful feeling; sound, lighting, and decal effects). MS’ weapon... hmm, you can punch other players; you can push away others over cliffs; intense melee car brawl. Winner: Drawn

- Music & Sound Effects (300): GoW’s sound is superb (especially guns and explosion sounds are mind-blowing). MS has fantastic music & sounds, too. Winner: Drawn

- Longevity (Replay Value) (300): Winner: Drawn

- Technical Advancement (200): So many game reviews online say that MS is technologically more advanced than Gears or Resistance. Winner: MS

- General Concept & Originality: MS revolutionized the racing genre (before: static, boring, lame; after: dynamic, fantastic, intense pure fun). Winner: MS

- Character Animation: Both games offer silky smooth movement of units. Winner: Drawn

- (NPC’s) A.I.: Winner: Drawn

- Atmosphere (Presentation) (200): GoW’s sci-fi movie like mood is all over the places. MS’ cinema like mood. Winner: Drawn

- Interface (attention to detail, how polished is the final game?): Winner: Drawn

- Overall Impressiveness (300): In general, GoW even deeply impresses Sony fanboys (vise versa).

Winner: Drawn

Finally, MS won by some huge margin.

- MS’ total score: 1900 points

- GoW’s total score: 1400 points

You guys have no idea SHE HAS THE TIGHTEST A$$

by MGSROCKS1 - 2007-05-27 08:14
» Some of your explanations are wrong

MS revolutionized racing genera? You're kidding right? Single player goes to GOW because its not always the same. The setting changes, and the game play does too. MS just stays the same, with you racing on the same track for ever.

The sound effects also go to GOW. All you hear in MS is standard car crashes sound effects and the music selection is sub-par. Can you explain to me how MS is more technologically advanced then GOW? Do you know what was one of GOW main achievements? Having the best graphics ever for a console game. As for the General Concept + originality, how does MS win that? Again it does not revolutionizes the genera, there are other races both on the Xbox360 and Sony's consoles that beat MS hands down. The only new thing MS brings to the table is deformed tracks. As for the punching and racing with different vehicle classes, other racers have been doing that since the PS1. The only reason they got away with the deformed mud is because they were the first one to release a racer on the PS3. Watch out for Dirt, GT5, and other racers.

Overall Impressiveness. MS did not, and I repeat , did not impress Microsoft fanboys. Why should they? They have better racers on their console. GOW did impress Sony fanboys though, because there was nothing like it on a console. Unbelievable and eerily realistic graphics, interesting story and game play, and an online mode thats a blast.

I'm not saying MS is a bad game, I just don't see how you give it that much credit when it doesn't deserve them. And like the guy above me said, you can't compare the two games.
