Jack Tretton on Sony Losing GTA Exclusivity |

The Grand Theft Auto series has played a big part in the success of PS2. Much of it can be attributed to Sony's exclusivity deal with Rockstar. With the simultaneous Xbox 360 and PS3 release for Grand Theft Auto IV, SCEA's co-chief operating officer Jack Tretton dismissed the notion that loss of exclusivity will hurt Sony. Tretton said, There's no question that having the Grand Theft Auto franchise helped us a lot and helped us sell some units, but I don't think the battle would be any different with or without Grand Theft Auto...No, I don't think it hurts us. No, I really don't.It seems that Sony continues to take a bullish and arrogant PR approach to issues surrounding Sony. When asked about his thoughts on the effect of PS3's price to consumers, as compared to Xbox 360, Tretton didn't show any signs of letting up, Well, I guess if price is the only consideration, then we've won the war, because we've got a $129 PlayStation 2 that outsells the Xbox 360 today.

I suck SONY DIICK!! and ONLY SONY DIICK!! 360 sucks, and the Wii sucks too!! Oh, did i tell u....I WILL ONLY SUCK SONY DIICK!! SONY CAN RAM ANYTHING UP MY A$$ aND I WOULD LOVE IT TO DEATH!! now, i agree with this article when it comes to gta. i can't be bothered to go through the rigamarole of the first 300 missions in order to finally get my hands on expensive guns and good missions. why aren't the best ones at the beginning? in fact, if it's clear the best ones are later why not just make more of that standard and scrap the rubbish ones?
gta gets really boring, 'drive here and answer a phone' - 'drive there and pick up a guy' - 'now go to a spray shop' - 'hooray, $100 earned'... i bought vice city but never completed it, i found a golf buggy and tried to flip it, once that fun was gone i couldn't be bothered any more.
i'm hoping that the gta bug has died somewhat, although if you look at san andreas's popularity then the next gta WILL make a difference. whether people buy it on 360 or ps3 will probably come down to the other games available for the respective systems. unless there are people out there who exclusively play gta all day long?

and GTA is the lifeline of the PS3 go to gtagaming.com and see the poll more than 60% won't get a ps3 now coz its not exclusive. theyd rather get a 360 to get the exclusive things from
