When you use upper cases when writing posts on online forums, blogs or even messages in instant messengers, it is interpreted as an equivalent of a shout or that person is actually shouting at you. So do you think that it was a good move on Sony's part to have PLAYSTATION 3 as the official spelling for their new console?Reports have it that Sony is getting a little concerned that most are writing the console's name as "Playstation" as opposed to "PlayStation" so they came up with this solution of just having everything in upper case. While browsing through the official site, only the PLAYSTATION 3 experienced spelling changes, because PlayStation 2 is still as it is. Well maybe it's their sublime way of telling us that their next-gen console is really something BIG. Sony should worry not - we already do and come November we'll give you first hand dibs on how BIG and powerful this piece of hardware heaven really is.

I never knew that playstation is a forum on its own now, or is it that any product that comes out with all caps on is considered to be shouting at you. This news is so stupid, no one would even pay attention to it, so tomorrow it's still gonna be called a playstation 3, not a Playstation, PlayStation, or PLAYSTATION 3.
It's mainly for journalism purposes (news articles) not forum talk. I'm surprised people are still talking about it from 2 weeks ago.

So tired of the Playstation crap throwing its getting to the point where im gonna just buy 2 or 3 PS3s just to make sure Sony sells out and shut these post down.

it's bad enough that zero info is coming out of sony's tight lips, but to have the bloggers here simply stirring up more negative sentiments is just annoying. can't you start making some positive news? do those opinion pieces which support ps3, or find somethign neutral and give it a POSITIVE spin rather than negative

also, i use captials for EMPHASIS, not necessarily to indicate shouting, just to show that i'm STRESSING the TONE of that one word...
it's like using italics (not possible) or underlining (not possible) or using bold type (not possible)... so in fact my options are the flying comma and the capital letter.

first: since the very first press release, it was always in capital letters. You just didnt notice it. Ok?
second: Sony has a lot of brands written in capital letters, WALKMAN, or BRAVIA come to my mind.

It's not that hard to photoshop some letters onto the PS3, but calling it news is too much of a stretch. They still have the Playstation name, so nobody gives a sh*t!
