I am sick of other companies, business', and websites trying to get there 15 seconds of fame through the gaming industry. QJ, quit posting this ish and maybe they'll quit coming out with it.

I have a ps3 and what I see here is that the playstation is falling down hard. The problem started when xbox360 lunch first, second problem was Sony ps3 start at a heave price. Number three problem was Microsoft buying almost all the exclusive titles for ps3 and leaven Sony with almost nothing. and the last and really big problem is the wii, the wii is really cheap at a good time when the united stated is in a financial problem and people have less gobs and that make the people to chose the cheaper system that had no games at all at that time. Sony had their chance to make the ps3 win with no problem but they let it go. That time was when the ps2 was the king and there were no xbox360, Sony should have bought some company’s of video games or a good part of those companies’s. For example they should have bought rock start games with no problem even when rock start had their problem with hot coffee. If Sony had made that move they had lost some money at that time but not GTA 4. I really feel angry and sad for what is happening to the playstation now, because I had good memories with the ps1 and ps2. and if they lose I will move to computer gaming, because I will never buy a Microsoft or a Nintendo system. And the reason for that is Microsoft is only shooter games and Nintendo forgot and left alone their fans and the truly gamers for stupid and simple games.

People only think PS3 is doing bad because of the Wii. If the wii weren't outselling both consoles so badly, there would be no "PS3 failing" articles. Its actually selling faster than the 360 in the same time frame with a higher price. Xbots get your facts straight please.

the PS3 will get a price cut eventually but its stupid to do that right now, they will start to get a lot of sales with big games and they are starting to come out(lair is now gold) an they will be coming up month by month from now, the price cut will come in future when needed (a massive 360 price cut or to make a new boom in sales)

The fact of the matter STILL remains that Sony quite possibly completely doomed an already established franchise to perpetrate their DVD media format. If the ps3 didn't have the gay ass blu-ray it wouldn't cost freakin' 600 dollars like it cost on launch day and would be competing on par with the Wii and 360.



Price makes a BIG difference. The only reason I don't have a ps3 is because of the horrendous price. I got a Wii and got hooked on to Mario all over again and hence Sony, like me, lost millions of gamers who thought along the lines of:



"Dude! I don't want no gay ass HD-DVD player I don't even buy NORMAL dvds let alone HD ones.... So why the ***** should I have to pay 600 bucks for an HD DVD player if I want to buy a next-gen console?"



And now we have the result. Yeah yeah yeah....I know the ps3 is JUST STARTING, and that IT WILL PICK UP. But the fact still remains that if it didn't ahve the stupid ass blu-ray IT WOULDN'T HAVE TO PICK UP.....because it would already be selling strong.



Nice job sony. You destroy your hold on the gaming market just to propandagize your stupid ass HD-DVD format.

Don't you idiots realize that NONE of the current consoles are going to fail? Well established companies that have had countless massive successes don't fall like a house of cards. Wow, a whole 500 bucks for something I'll use for 6 years? When was the last time you spent that little on a TV, food, gf/bf, computer, or other entertainment? Seriously?



And if it didn't have Blu-Ray, it wouldn't have to pick up? If it didn't have Blu-ray it probably WOULDN'T pick up. Without Blu-ray PS3 loses one of the biggest advantages it has over the 360. They'd save on price by cutting the cell and making a hard drive optional too...but there's already a 360 out there.

if its take up rate remains as it is and 360 take up rate remains as it is the ps3 will always be a little way behind, meaning less revenue from games and films etc and the content on it reminds me oh so much of the content on the psp which can be so incredibly sporadic.

basically what im saying and i think these people are trying to say is PS3 and sony need an edge to close that gap because as the statistics show that gap is remaining constant

I wouldn't doubt it for a minute that Nintendo is making a Wii HD version. When looking at the handheld market, whats stopping Nintendo from making a newer model. It will just add sales to there already existing model. Early adopters will most likely switch over. The DS has both the phat DS and DS lite in its overall WW sales. I own the DS lite, I use to own the Phat one but sold it a couple months after I got the Lite.

Nintendo Failed

Their Tvs always sold WAY more than any consoles out there, and they are priced around 1k$-3k$. And ps: they are not selling their TVs at loss... They also sell anything that touch the tech. (Tvs, dvd/cd/BD player/recorder/burner, mp3 player, computer, laptops (vaio), camrecorder, cameras, home theater (with every cables you can buy for), etc etc, and YES, they also do videogames, consoles and accessories for them, lol)



Sony can be breaked by it's ps3 as much as M$ can be breaked with it's x360, lol. They are two EXTREMLY BIG names and none of them can be "broken".



And anyway, I had an xbox360 and I'll have a ps3 too, I don't care about all this stupidity and nonsense. There is only nintendo that only have videogames to be backed up, so the most fragile brand is still nintendo, since after the wii, they'll have an even bigger challenge (now M$ and sony know what to do to make money), they will have to work even harder to continue to go well. Sony could stop doing consoles after the ps4 is the ps3 go wrong after a while, but I don't think so, so you'll see at least a ps4 and a ps5. Same for M$, even if their x360 would be "crushed" by the ps3 or even if their xbox720 would be crushed, they'll make another one anyway, and on both, you'll see great exclusives, M$ and sony are too powefull to lose, they can just be "almost the best", but never "the looser".

All you MS Fanboys need to pull your heads out of your ####, wake up and smell the coffee, you complain about Sony and how they do business. You should take a look at your MS. MS don't reward the consumer, they screw you the consumer at every step, poor quality hardware, poor quality bloated overpriced software (Vista, do I need to say anymore) and back handed shadey monopolostic deals. That's the only way they are getting anywhere, they can't win a battle on quality.

The gaing industry needs to be fought on a level playing field. As long as MS are involved the consumer will get screwed.
