Want something special to add to the coolness of your Guitar Hero Guitar? Well, we have just the thing for you! Thanks to a tip from Robin1989, we've just found out that AcidMods' CyberPyrot has created an impressive new mod for the guitar controller, rigging it with a seven-inch LCD screen.

While there's not much in the way of explanation via the AcidMods forums and in the video, it does show off the capabilities of the guitar. As you can probably guess, you can see a copy of what's on your television screen on the little screen that's on the guitar.

The uses for such a screen seem very limited, but if you're the type that just wants to push the capabilities of your guitar, it seems like a great mod indeed. In any case, you can view the video below, as well as read CyberPyrot's notes on the mod by following the source link. Enjoy!

maybe its so you can face to face a guitarist opponent when battling or facing off. Give it a more feeling of competing against him. boy did that take alot of work to pull oughta nowhere. lol. yeah i really dont see the point either.

Once again, mister no common sense is full of crap.

An early production line made some bad guitars. They realized it and pulled back as much as they could. But it was too late, some units sold. These are being replaced free of charge.

Anyone that buys a box today wont have any issues.

However, I believe there are still some software issues for one of the consoles. Not sure. A patch will come out eventually.

You do realize that Both GH2 and 3 on 360 had guitar controller problems on launch as well, right?

I thought they managed to attach a touch screen so you wouldn't have to heary the clicky clicky clicky strum bar....

To bad I was wrong and it's a completely useless mod...

They had problems with GH3? Gee, you'd think they would have fixed all the manufacturing kinks by the 3rd release!

Ah Well....

"Seeing as that was not enough and because the LCD took up the space where the strumer resided and there was no way to strum the guitar I decided to add a magnetic swith under the body to allow me to play the gutar with a magnetic pic."

now THAT is a mod worthy of a QJ article, I'm not saying that the 7" monitor isn't cool, because it is, however, I have been wanting a metal pick that I could use instead of the strum bar FOREVER. I just wish I knew how...
