Did you guys see that Bayonetta model at E3? Man, I can only applaud such dedication. She didn't look half-bad either. The game's been looking damn good too, and it's been steadily building up hype for its impending yet still unannounced release.

Japanese gaming mag Famitsu is also getting in on the Bayonetta action with a full six-page feature complete with an interview with game director Hideki Kamiya and producer Yusuke Hoshimoto. Here's a summary of the interview courtesy of PS3Hyper.

The interview focused on the gameplay aspects, including the Torture Attacks so succinctly described by the ESRB. According to Kamiya, the Torture Attacks are designed to allow players to turn the tide of battle quickly as well as make battles look beautiful and more dramatic.

Players will also be able to summon monsters to fight for them. Both the summoning skill and the Torture Attacks serve to further highlight the fact that the main character is a witch, as Kamiya stated that they're among the first things that come into peopleÂ’s mind when they think of witches. I tend to think of ugly old crones, actually, but that's me.

Bayonetta also comes with a couple more trademark moves: Witch Walk, which allows her to walk vertically, and Witch Time, which is kinda like bullet time but not. Witch Time is activated by dodging an attack at precisely the right time, and when it's on, Bayonetta will be the only character moving in the game. Kamiya said that he hopes this will make players realize that button mashing won't get them too far in the game.

Oh, and remember that red-clad witch Bayonetta faced off against in the E3 trailer? Apparently, that woman is named Jeanne, and she'll be Bayonetta's main rival. Jeanne's status as an NPC made the design process for her relatively fast and easy, revealed Kamiya.

Kamiya also dropped a few hints about post-story completion play, but he didn't really elaborate. There's more info at the source link, so check it out if you're longing for this game just like me. Bayonetta is slated for a PS3 and Xbox 360 release, although the date hasn't been announced yet.

Bayonetta is looking like it's shaping up pretty good. This game is packed full of moves and crazy combos. If it reviews good, maybe i'll buy it.
