Interestingly enough, Insomniac Games' Marketing Manager, James Stevenson, has publicly placed his bets on the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII as the more superior version.
Over at his Twitter account, he made his feelings known about the game while praising the PS3's "rockin' 1st q". That's "first quarter", in case you didn't know.
He said: "PS3 is having a rockin' 1st q: MAG, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, and soon MLB10: The Show, GOWIII and the superior veresion of FFXIII."
The release of the latest Final Fantasy iteration has re-sparked the console wars between the PS3 and Xbox 360, particularly as regards the graphical differences. Some have said that if you own both consoles, go for the PS3 version, while if you have only the Xbox 360, it's not so bad anyway.
We'll find out soon enough when Final Fantasy XIII finally comes out in the US on March 9th, 2010.

Either way, I'll probably get it for PS3, if just because I could use the easy trophies. Already have a good number of achivements to work on currently.

I wouldn't be surprised if SE and MS deliberately held back real screenshots, because the 360 version looks awful.

PS3 can handle much more space than Xbox 360, PS3 has Blu-Ray and 360 up to DVD9 (7.50 gb to 9gb or so). About the graphics I can't say anything.
But don't forget that the gameplay is always more important than graphics. Doesn't matter if the graphics are perfect, what you want from a game is to enjoy, and there's the gameplay.
1st: Gameplay
2nd: Graphics
Microsoft could have used the dead technology, that is, HD-DVD it could handle up to 30 GB (according to Wiki). 360's HD-DVD are pretty cheap, and to use on your PC/Laptop/Netbook/whatever it's great.
The black edition of 360's HD-DVD was a limited product, wish I had one just for collecting purposes.

Alright, then if the gameplay is exactly the same, since it's 2 versions of the same game, knowing which has better graphics is still interesting no ?
You comment would be useful if we were speaking about tales of vesperia vs eternal sonata for exemple, where both aspects matter !

It's always been about damn graphics ever since this console war started.
And since most multiplatform games are based off Xbox structure... guess who gets the shorter end to the stick? Now that there IS now a game that is actually better on the PS3... it becomes all about gameplay? Stop lying to yourself...

HA! It's not superior. The PS3 is capable of more, and the only reason most multiplats are better on the 360 is because they are made for the 360 and ported. Same excuse you are using for this, except you forgot to mention that EXCLUSIVES on the PS3 look better. Uncharted 2, for example. Let's see the 360 do that.

You said PS3 I read 360 in my head. lol
It's ok, just downthumb that comment into oblivion!

square enix has been using PS3 technology a lot longer than microsoft technology.
....lol that means alot i think
i've also heard thoughts saying that a lot of segments from the game were cut and now will be released as DLC just because the blue ray disc has a bigger size and they had to make it fit on a 360 disc also.
EPIC FAIL MICROSOFT
