Brace yourselves, PS3 platform game fans - the wily space cat and his trusty robot are due back with more screen-shaking explosions and amusing characters as revealed by the April issue of the Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine. The new installment in the celebrated franchise is called Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Brian Allgeier, design director of Insomniac Games explains "the name Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction works on many levels. It signals a new era for the franchise, ties into the game's story, and includes one of our signature subtitle double entendres."
The Ratchet & Clank series is recognized as the most successful platform franchise in the PS2 era coming up with a string of top-rated and market-stirring titles. The series also has incarnations in the PSP and mobile platforms.
