Infinity WardÂ’s Robert Bowling has confirmed that vehicles will not be part of Modern Warfare 2Â’s (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) multiplayer. According to Bowling, the game's focus is on fast-paced infantry combat where players never rely on transportation:

We never put vehicles in multiplayer. Our focus is on fast-paced infantry combat, where you're never reliant on transportation. We do have expanded Killstreak Rewards now, some of which are user-controlled. For example, where you previously could call in UAV, Airstrikes, and Helicopter Support but had no control on how helpful they were, there are many more options which allow you to take control of the gunner or control its success a bit more for a limited time. Such as the AC130 gunship where you can fire any of the three weapons on it during its limited time in the air.

Modern Warfare 2 will be released worldwide on November 10, 2009 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

F*CK NO!

BIG MAPS SUCK! W.A.W Sucks Big ***** Because The Maps Are Too Big And Theres A ***** Load Of Campers. I Wont Mind Like 1 or 2 But ***** No. I Would Approve More Medium Maps. Or Small.

.

This is a good thing! I don't want vehicles in my multiplayer maps!

lol

Keep out vehicles but make the maps bigger? How about no... The smallest maps are the best, Vacant > all others. if you're getting shot and killed one second after you spawn your team isn't playing right.

typical

People complain about campers due to their poor skills during the game. There's nothing wrong with Camping, as I sometimes do it defending in Bad Company 1 which imo craps over MW1. The game is overrated and the maps are too small and barely any destruction. It's far too serious to even get interested in. Luckily BC2 is looking to blow the doors, literally, from the first and the game right now is just incredible. As a BC fan, I can say BC2 rivals and surpasses it cause quite frankly, MW wasn't that great. People like it cause they're monster fans of Call of Duty and think every game from IW is like golden turd at your doorstep. Sorry, whiel MW2 seems to be basically like MW1 with upgrades, BC2 has ALOT of new features that's just awesome. I could list what it has, but it'd be pretty long. Anyway, the lack of vehicles in MO is disappointing.

Thank You IW!!

I'm thrilled to hear this news. After the W@W experience with Tanks, I was afraid that MW2 would be ruined by vehicles. Infinity Ward, you made my day!
