You may have heard of a rumor that Activision is looking into monetizing the Call of Duty series even further by introducing MMO-style paid subscriptions to further entries in the series. If that got you worrying about Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer, here's something to set your mind at ease.
Speaking through their official forum, Infinity Ward community manager Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling assured gamers that they have no intention to introduce any extra charges in Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC).
“This rumor has absolutely nothing to do with Infinity Ward or our games, including Modern Warfare 2,” Bowling wrote. “We would never introduce such a system for Modern Warfare 2, so don’t worry. Multiplayer will always be equal and free for everyone as always.”
OK, so that clears Modern Warfare 2. We'll have to wait and see about the other future Call of Duty games, though.

I'm done with treyarch though. I gave them a chance by buying World at War, and I have been nothing but disappointed. (Other then the Zombies mode).
Veteran mode was a aimbot/nade spam fest, and all you need to do to be good in multiplayer is know how to hold down the right trigger and pray.

Also the differences between PSN and XBL are negligible at best. Nothing to warrant paying however much for a subscription, better marketplace? Who cares how simple they make spending your money lol. Or what does it matter about trophy's or voice messaging. I don't find it worth paying for at all. I pay for XBL because a lot of my friends who play shooters play them on 360 so I have my XBL account. Also, playing music in a game and trophy's don't have anything to do with the network (and you can play music while playing games btw)

now don't stay up too late, you know they don't like that

Activision polled potential customers if they'd be willing to pay for services not typically in CoD games.
Could it be screenshot/recorded match hosting? Could it be clan integration/forums? Could it be a host of options like dedicated server support?
