We all know how good the feedback coming from Activision's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare beta is, but it just might get better if there's any truth behind a rumor that's been going around. According to Spong, Infinity Ward studio head and producer Grant Collier was quoted in the Activate Asia Conference with what seemed to be a slip about CoD 4's co-op mode.

Collier was asked whether there would be a split-screen multiplayer co-op for local games or not to which he replied, "Uh, no, IÂ’m not really supposed to say anything about thatÂ… but IÂ’m a big fan of Xbox Live and downloadable content."

Whether that was indicative of things to come or simply a weird answer, we'll know when Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare hits store shelves. The game goes out for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and the PC.

That's right, online co-op will be exclusive for the PS3 version of the game, sorry 360 owners, better luck next time.

Rainbow Six has had online co-op for a while now. EA should have been doing this since the first CoD.

EA doesnt make this game. It would be a cool feature to have coop mode online. I just hope the single player mode is more like COD2 then COD3... i never even finished the single player mode on COD3.. that thing was so boring and frustrating.

Why add better and more content in PS3 when 360 is beter and more popular. Even the guys at activision think so. PS3 is a failed console. I pity those who own one. XBOX 360 is the best and have more content in all games because most people own 360. Yes, MGS4 is coming to 360 and when it does there will be tears for ps3 owners.

why would you think PS3 can't do online co op? warhawk does 4 player online co op. unless you meen online co op for the single player part of the game, then if it does great, but if not i wouldn't really care
