The different versions of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has its own set of advantages and limitations, although the most talked about builds are the ones for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

We know you all have your own preferences but Infinity Ward Studio Head Vince Zampella admitted that they gave Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the PS3 more attention:

We had our best programmers on the PS3 version of Call of Duty and it shows. We had two separate teams working on both versions from the start.

Most developers only focus on a single platform, then quickly port the game over to another one. You don't get very good results that way.

This was said by the official during the recent interview with Future Publishing's PlayStation 3 Magazine (PSM3) and is part of a much longer interview. Aside from that, Zampella also mentioned that the PS3 version has better graphics and larger online support.

Keep in mind that the PS3 has a pretty radical configuration...cell processor anyone? It's harder to code for. As far as I've seen both versions (PS3 + Xbox 360) are both excellent games with no huge differences except for in the graphics.

I own all three systems...so I'm not really biased against any.

I rented it for both systems, finally settled on the PS3 version for my purchase. It is superior on the PS3. Nice to see what the system can do when given equal footing.

I Own All Three Systems and I Must say that the ps3 version does look better than the 360 version to bad theres not a wii version

i own all three systems as well

but im not ashamed to say im bit of a sony fanboy

not that i think everything they do is better

im also a realist

but i just hope sony does well in every system they release since the ps1

i like the wii for it innovation in controls

and it really does seem to work better than i originally thought it would

i like the support that 360 has...really good titles

but i love the quality of the ps3

when you pick up a ps3 next to any other system ,the ps3 is the that screams "i am a quality product"

the xbox360 screams "i'm cheaply thrown together but i have great games"

the wii is the cheapest, but is still superior to xbox360 on build quality. to me the wii simply screams "PLAY ME!!"

all in all being a sony loyalist i like my ps3 the most

then i sadly have to say 360 (i wish i could say wii but i really dont have the titles for it yet)

Someone actually knows how to make games around here. I don't mind multiplayer games but the fact remains porting a game will only make things worse for that one system, and in this case PS3. But working on them separately and not porting really shows the results and guess what it seems according to them the PS3 is the better version.

If im hearing this right, mind you its just one team, is that all this time the PS3 was getting screwed cause of the porting thing. OMG i so hate those other devs now. There definitely laze and i truly hate lazy people, especially if they involved making games.

Just a question does this mean the PS3 does have better graphics than 360, im not trying to flame or start anything, Im just asking a intellectual question. I mean they did say the PS3 have better graphics but i know thats just an opinion from one team.

Its not only the developers laziness which counts for the bad ports, to be realistic here we have to keep in mind that not all game developers have so many programmers available in order to allocate them half and half for the same title on different plats, that would result to significant differences between the end-results, that of course could be solved by a good program director but then again a lot of resources should be consumed in order to achive this...the sad fact here is that no developer would do that unless they are motivated to do so...(?$$$?).

Why's that ?

They could put trained monkey's behind computers to do the coding. Why put superior coders on an inferior system ?

That just wastes the qualities of the coders.

Do us all a fvaor and leave the site. You should have been an aborted baby, your stupid as hell and all you do is start problems. Seriously does it hurt you to know the PS3 version is the dominate of the two, and the fact the PS3, hardware wise, is superior. Please if you think 360 is superior then your definitely have no idea what the hell your talking about.
