inFamous will be famous for quality over quantity |
Ó
Suckerpunch creative director Nate Fox shared a few words with Eurogamer, and talked about the upcoming inFamous. One of the things that Fox stressed was that devs should focus on quality and not length. Length is not the measure of a good game. "Look at God of War - it is an excellent game, an instant classic, and it's only like seven hours long," he said. "GTA IV is 30 hours long, and people wanted more? That just tells you how excellent the game is."
It seems to me that it's not about length but about quality. And because I love both of those games, I hope that developers never try to shoot for a long game, but instead for the most fun they can pack onto the disc - at any length. That's what we're doing for inFamous.
Fox also notes that we should look out for downloads on PSN "closer to our release date," he said. And as far as Trophies go, "We'd be complete and total jackasses not to support them," he said.

want quality, and quantity. That's why I buy only select, awesome games that gives me both. For 60 bucks, I think quantity is just as important. I don't want to like finish the game on the day I get it, and have it collecting dust forever...
\n
Don't get me wrong, I'll still play inFamous, but more prolly as a rental than a buy...(unless it has at least 16 hours of gameplay)
that's bad. I'm better with 20-30 hours...
I'm really curious as to how good this will be.
Also, I can't wait even more for the next Sly Cooper!
I have to put this out somewhere:
Many people might disagree with me, but honestly, I think I liked varied level designs and the mood of the first sly cooper over the second and third. I mean it just felt to me like in the second and third games that each world, accept for a couple, (i know open world is a big thing now, but...) it just felt like walking through cities/villages in most of the wolds and the others in wide open areas and it seemed practically the same in every world. I'm not sure how, but I think I prefer how it was in the first game's world design better.
Also, on another side topic kind of... my two favorite parts in the first game was the first time i used a barrel to block darts. I just thought that was so funny at the time, along w/ the tip-toeing sound effect. The other one is that I got absolutely addicted to the music with the dancing chickens in the boss fight with Mz. Ruby - the swamp crocodile. Aaah good memories.
Yay for being off topic! LOL sorry.
I might just wait until it is at a cheaper price, maybe $40 or less before buying. If they want to compete for sales with other great titles out there they need to think of want the consumer wants. To me 6 hours is pretty short.
