Rocking down to electric avenue, inFamous is just around the corner now. Naturally, Sucker Punch is feeling more than generous to dish out another batch of info for the game. Answering questions from the fans, co-founder and development director Chris Zimmerman gives us a couple more details in the video interview below.

If you don't have the time and bandwidth to load the full vid, let me give a bit of a summary:
  • Straight run through of story: 15 hours
  • Straight run through with all side-missions: 20-25 hours
  • Side-missions affect gameplay (and a bit of story)
  • Replayability: no new game plus, but you can play through a game as a good guy, and play the game again as a bad guy; your appearance, the pedestrians, city, etc. change depending on what side you choose
  • Completists get to collect some 350 Blast Shards (unlock more power) and Dead Drops (reveals more of the backstory)

Sucker Punch Productions' inFamous is to be released on May 26, 2009.

excited :D

i must say, it looks good! the graphics aren't superb, but i'd rather have a good game with bad graphics, than a bad game with good graphics. though i'm a bit sad that there isn't a new game + thing, as i love to replay games with all the things you aquired (or some of i atleast) when PS3 first came out, i could only find games that was a once run-through, and then basiucally there wasn't much more to do, then DMC4 got released, then MGS4, which both had that "new game +" thing, loved it, helps keep the game alive sometimes. anyways, if i could afford it, i would buy this one day one, no doubt.

no replay value

so they said max 25 hours and no new game after you finish game, not worth the money just a rental for me guess ill wait for prototype. Man all the ps3 games that i really want are in not coming out till the end of the year or next year.

well, im a very slow gamer

and on top of that I try to squeeze every drop of fun out of a game, so for me it'll be around 30-35 hours. That's way more than enough. SO psyched for this game. If only I hda the dough :(

...

While 20+ hours may not be ideal for me I'm still going to get the game because it looks good just to support the studio and sell it later after I finish it if theres no kind of downloadable content or replay value.
