inFamous 2: New Cole out, old Cole in

When Sony showed off inFamous 2 at E3, one of the most striking changes we saw was for main character Cole's image. You can forget that guy though, since Sucker Punch is bringing back the old Cole.

The studio confirmed during their Comic-Con panel that the new, tattooed Cole is being rolled back to the look he had in the original inFamous due to overwhelmingly negative fan reaction. It's good to know that devs still do listen to their fans after all.

No images of the redesign have been released yet, but IGN says that he "looks more like the person we played as in the original inFamous."

This game is original and doesn't rip off on Spiderman. The Spiderman games were too easy and the fighting wasn't all that good.

InFamous on the other hand, is a great game and you can not get tired of it. It takes two play throughs to get all the Trophies, or one play through if you know a little trick like I do, and I don't mean Trophy Glitching.

I'm glad that they are keeping the old Cole, he just matches the character/personality much more better than the new one.

They could just add some new things to him, maybe his clothes just a little different.

I think it would have been awesome if he would have taken Kessler's outfit at the end of the first one, myself. I was hoping he would have it for the sequel.

The new model don't mean shit if the voice is different....that was the first thing I noticed, then the actual model.

You know, the model is fine, maybe he grew some hair, who knows....but the voice was WAY off and you can't really justify that.

I think they weren't able to get him for some reason. It sucks because I liked the original voice actor too.

This new one sounds a bit off but not enough to make it terrible. The look though was my biggest complaint and I'm glad they notices that fans weren't going to go for it.

I saw that some people did prefer it but I really did like the original. I'm not sure why they said no one "connected" to his character. I though it was awesome.

Agreed but I thought I read they had trouble getting the original VA for it. If they can get him great but I think it's unlikely. Chances are they already did all the voice work.

So glad they at least changed him back to the original look. It was such a glaring disconnect. The new VA doesn't sound to bad so it won't be terrible.

to tell you the truth i wont mind playing as either. maybe they can release this skin as dlc,but i am glad they are bringing back the older look because i got used to it. Also this new voice actor is actually pretty good, yeah he doesnt sound like batman, but his acting is top notch.

what i really wanted was the original VA, the new look is ok, its just the voice that bugs me

Maybe they should just add a character creation tool like other kinds of games and allow you to make Cole look the way you want and that would explain why he looks like the way he does here.
