Rumor: Next Indy Game Canned - Image 1

Indiana Jones can't avoid every blow that comes his way, can he? This time he was hit by a can. As in the next Indiana Jones (PS3, Xbox 360) game is canned, as reported by IGN's sources.

According to IGN's sources (which include people from inside LucasArts), the game developers were reallocated to other projects, leaving Indiana Jones out in the cold. This is tagged as a rumor for now, but with the conspicuous lack of solid news on the game for years now, it seems likely. Then again, this isn't the first time we've heard rumors of its cancellation.

LucasArts itself claimed last month that they're still "absolutely committed" to the game, they still haven't delivered on new details, which they claimed were "forthcoming."

I'm kind of disappointed if this is true and not just rumor/speculation.

As average and mediocre as The Emporer's Tomb was I absolutely loved it. I was sincerely interested in a current gen game much like it was.

Well I guess i'll just have to wait and see.
