Indiana Jones 2007: Leipzig Trailer and New Art |
Ó
Legendary action hero Indiana Jones is making a return to the spotlight in the upcoming Indiana Jones game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The game, which carries a working title of Indiana Jones 2007, is an epic, original story set in 1939, and is the first from LucasArts with direction from George Lucas himself.Indiana Jones 2007 features the revolutionary new euphoria technology from NaturalMotion, which delivers never-before-seen life-like action and awareness to every character in real time - so you'll never see the same thing twice.
Combine that with LucasArts' completely interactive Hot Set environments, which makes every setting in Indiana Jones 2007 open-ended and completely destructible in a way that only next-generation consoles can deliver, and you have a title that could finally make up for Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade: The Action Game.

The E3 trailer in German, HOW USEFUL
i was really dissapointed in what looks the the fighting controls, all he does is one big punch, with a long windup, it looked slow and boring, i hope they fix it up a lOT before release... and I was all excited about the new ragdoll/AI thing...
I remember that NaturalMotion free software demo awhile back. That was pretty cool. I tried it and it is impressive. Thats a cool idea to start using it in games. It would greatly cut down the production time once people get used to using it.
I notice from the video that the objects react before they are hit. When a guy was knocked into the fruit stand, just before he hit the stand it already moved and began to break. Also when the guy was knocked into the car the car moved before the man actually hit it. I hope they fix this issue. The only good thing I see is the reation of the characters themselves when they hit something, their movements look pretty realistic.
that looks like it could really add a ton of replay value to games - fight the cable car level over and over, beating the guys a hundred different ways... however, the physics seems really exaggerated/unrealistic. i mean, he pushed that chinatown guy by his collar/chest and he did a 180 flip (feet in the air) and flew like 15 ft into the car...or he punches the guy in the face and the guy twists and crumples like Gumby or something. but, there's lots of time to develop this so i'm sure they'll improve on it
