I Am Alive - Image 1 It's been quite a while since we heard of I Am Alive (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), and really, Ubisoft can't blame us if we keep asking if it's really still alive. After all, it was first presented back in E3 of 2008, and up until now, details have been tremendously scarce. In fact, they are so scarce that it would have been a drought as of today had it not been for the game's designer who posted a release window for 2011.

So he says.

Charles Gaudron's LinkedIn profile shows that he is a senior game designer at Darkworks, and summarizes his JD as such: "I Am Alive (PS3/X360, Ubisoft, 2011". Website watcher superannuation dug this up. However, Ubisoft told Eurogamer that they should instead refer to the company's recent financial report, where it placed the game for a release in the company's next fiscal year (April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011). Maybe that's the 2011 Gaudron was referring to?

Or maybe not. After all, I Am Alive has since been taken over by Ubisoft Shanghai. Darkworks is no longer part of the picture.

Another game I had been looking forward to then completely forgot about... now I'm wondering what happened to Dead Island

» lol me too

Saw this game ages ago, it looked cool then and still looks cool now, but it's been delayed tons. Seems like the only times I'm reminded of it is when it's reported that it's been delayed again. I wouldn't be surprised if Ubi drops this project
