Hulu Plus preview now available for select PS+ folks

Starting today, a select group of PlayStation Plus members will have preview access to Hulu Plus. This was announced earlier by Sony, along with details on how this will run.

Said Jack Tretton in their press release, "We are delighted to offer the Hulu Plus preview starting today on PlayStation 3 and that PlayStation 3 will be the only console to offer Hulu Plus in 2010."

First thing you have to know is that you will need to pony up US$ 9.99 per month if you want access to said preview version. Everyone (meaning all subscribers) may opt to download the free Hulu Plus application wherein they can request an invite for the preview.

"The combination of Hulu's premium video library and PlayStation Network's expanding game and video catalog further cements PlayStation 3 as the industry's best entertainment device for all of your content experiences from games, TV shows and movies to live sports, original content and 3D."

I got my invite yesterday, and will try it out for a month when I get paid again. The free preview shows look great on my ps3. I gave up on Netflix a long time back because of the turn around times, and the online movies were pretty lackluster. I'm hoping to find a way to lower my cable bill to make room for this after I check it out.

Yeah i'm trying the "preview" and watching the "Super Size Me" Movie they have. Well isn't that just nice. Telling us how FAT we are because some of us like to eat out now and then. Yeah so I'm just checking this out and already ran into Commercials in the middle of it!

I doubt I'll pony up the $9.99 up a month for it. I already have cable and there are so many different sites I can load up and watch many different movies or tv shows without paying.

This may be good if you don't own cable or satellite. Its a cheap alternative for sure.
