From the pages of the latest Weekly Famitsu come new details on Hot Shots Golf 5 (known as Minna no Golf 5 in Japan) for the PS3.First, the online features. The game's online lobby will reportedly hold up to 50 players. Players can also customize their avatars by selecting from a collection of characters and items. The online service for Hot Shots Golf 5 will be free of charge from day one of its July 26 Japanese release.
Hot Shots Golf 5 producer Daisaku Ikejiri also revealed that there will only be 14 playable characters in the game. The character roster will also include Japanese professional golfer Shigeki Maruyama. No word yet on if the same characters will also be making an appearance in the North American version, but it's probably a good bet that there will be a few changes.
