Yes, thank goodness I wrote "gameplay" and not simply "play" in the title. (Wide grin and nodding head)

Please be quiet so as not to disturb Conan the Barbarian golfer in this GameTrailers-available gameplay vid of Sony Computer Entertainment's Minna no Golf/Hot Shots Golf 5 on the PS3. Observe the use of the swing meter to drive and putt, a throwback to the classic days of video game golfing. Look up close at the greens being generated by the PS3.

See the gallery audience smart enough to run away from the projected shot trajectory of the golf ball. Yes. Who wants to stand in front of a flying golf ball - unless, of course, you were making an America's Funniest Home Video?

further detail

Can someone tell me more about using a console to generate graphics and stuff? I've heard of real time video and stuff and sort of get it. Its like telling the PS3 what to do instead of showing it a picture or something. Its suppose to majorly help with space or something. Further detail will be greatly appreciated.

Throwback?

i love PS3 as much as the next guy here, but to call it a throwback is just stupid. the swing meter isn't a throwback to previous golf games, its their gameplay period. mario golf uses it, and hot shots has always used it. dont try to make it sound like its something special, as good as it is. i do like that better than the whole analog swing though.

it's fun

It's a fun free demo, I'd buy it as a downloadable game, not quite BD quality. The swing meter is fine, anyone try the other way to swing? what a pain!! It's hard to notice, since you can't read anything in the game... All in all, it's a good looking little golf game.

WHY!!

Fun as always but why do they have all the markings on the fairway and green telling you all the distances?? Was it really that hard without them, it ruins a good looking game with all that crap. hopefully there will be a way to turn them off in the full version of i might just pass on it. Also I SUCK at the meterless swing
