Ó
Sony got the crowd ooohing and aaahing at their stereoscopic 3D display back at CES last month. They also got a lot of booing when it was leaked that they won't release the technology to the public, mainly because you'll need the proper hardware to make it run. And it's not like your everyday Joe's living room will come equipped with Full 3D-ready technology.
And it's Panasonic to the rescue. The company is opening its own 3D Blu-ray labs, which aims to make a 3D Full HD available to the general public by 2010. The lab will be working with Hollywood studios to offer 3D Full HD (3D FHD, more acronyms to memorize) titles. That means 3D FHD games won't be far behind.
Panasonic will be developing the necessary hardware needed to make the magic work. They'll be making a Plasma 3D FHD home theater system, a 3D-ready digital cinema projector (Theatrical Dolby 3D system) with a 380-inch screen theater for 3D HD picture quality evaluation, and a 3D ready MPEG-4 AVC High Profile encoder.
It's a ludicrous piece of entertainment system in this crappy economy, but I bet a lot of people will still be throwing cash at Panasonic once the tech gets developed. You want my money, Panasonic? Make it happen.

if the masses can afford it will be a success.
if its expensive crap then in will only go the Guinness book of records and be only remembered as the once glorious 3d gadget.
