Homebrew: PS3 Pong with better AI and themes |
Ó
It looks like the simple but nice PlayStation 3 homebrew Pong by Dragula96 caught the fancy of coders everywhere. Recently, a new version has surfaced courtesy of gustav and it adds some new stuff to the game. Improvements made were mainly on the AI and themes. The changelog below tells it all:
Added
- Ugly colored theme.
- Ability to change theme from blue to classic black and white, use left and right arrow.
- in-game traced data of stage width and height + numeric trace of the balls movement, this is for developers.
- The AI has been improved and is less buggy
- The collision detection has been improved as well

It starts.... sigh. I was worried that this crap would flood the board and it's just as I feared. God help the PS3.qj.net board.
Doesn't really look like much good is coming from this so called "exploit". Abit disappointing.
Well it is an exploit of some sort you should thank people for their work instead of *****ing.
Nah it's a feature ...
After 50 years of processing innovation we end up here: Playing PONG on a 7 core cell processor.
I don't want homebrew on PS3. I have a PSP for that, and we all know what happened to the PSP.
Don't beat around the bush and say "o well, the games are too big to download anyways"
If homebrew even gets to that point (hopefully NOT) then there will be some 30 yr old loser who will download a game.
what is the problem with someone coding homebrew for the ps3? As far as i'm concerned, let them make it. There is always gonna be someone who codes for fun and the fact that they are even nice enough to share it with the community is amazing.
i guess what im sayin is if u dont like it then leave it alone cause it doesnt stop everyone else from liking it.
also what happened to the psp? cause i been away for a while... is it that it got revised and made better?
