HMV now offering PS3 pre-orders, but... |

Talk about package deals. For the guys who prefer not to end up camping out for their PS3, retailer HMV has a deal for you. They've just sent out a promo that states that in light of the upcoming March 23 launch in Europe, they are offering a special PS3 pre-order bundle. Included in the package is a 4GB PSP and the 60GB PS3 (individual price £ 425 or US$ 835.50), which brings up this lovely bundle up to a total price of £ 674.99 (about US$ 1, 327) . Of course, there are a couple of catches.
First, you have to purchase the PSP bundle to even pre-order PS3 - guaranteeing that HMV has at least one confirmed transaction. Second, while the offer states the PSP will be shipped to the guys who ordered asap, it adds that PS3s are still unavailable for shipping until the launch day itself. That means until March 23rd (and probably onward), you'll be paying close to 700 quid for just the portable - which will fortunately carry Gangs of London and Killzone: Liberation.
What say you, fans? While the price is admittedly steep, we can't help but think 250 isn't such a bad deal for a 4GB unit and two games - one of which is a current must-have. We leave the decision to you, as much as Sony did, along with the suggestion of checking HMV's site (the read link) for further details.

Yeah, it's a great deal the PSP + 4GB + two games for 20, but you can't just force people to buy something they might already have, just to be able to pre-order another thing. I mean, c´mon, that's insane. I can't believe HMV done that. And seeing that both games are from SCE, I can imagine that Sony has something got to do with this. i can't believe HMV sold themselves to Sony like that. Defintly not going to buy my PS3 from them. I don't know haw they really think they're gonna sell something like that. And all this, just to avoid the buyers that only want the PS3 for resell.

I would NOT buy a ps3 or a 360 this March as the new cooler and quieter fanned systems are soon to be released, they are so close now it would be mad to buy what is in effect a Mk1 version which will proberly cost more than the new soon to be released MK2 version. http://ps3.qj.net/Sony-and-Microsoft-look-to-65nm-to-reduce-costs/pg/49/aid/81520
for those people in london if they r really desperate for one they would take the deal. + sony would make 2x the money at launch there than u.s. ( cuz of the psp 4gb )
