Hines: id-Bethesda collaboration not being considered yet |
Ó

When ZeniMax scooped up id Software last month, speculation started about possible collaborations between id and Bethesda almost immediately started up. Those looking for new IP from the Doom creator will have to wait a bit longer, though, as id still has their hands full.
"With Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein, and Rage, they already have more IP than they have teams to work on them," said Bethesda's global VP of marketing Pete Hines. "So right now creating new IP or having them work on our Bethesda IP isn't even being considered."
Bethesda is already helping id put together a new development team, so it may not be too long before we see some kind of collaboration between the two. I'm personally looking forward to id sharing some of their tech to Bethesda. The Gamebryo engine is good and all, but the thought of a new Fallout game running on Tech 5 -- or even Tech 6 -- is too delicious to pass up.
