Heavy Rain
in 2009? That's what reports from Gamekyo say. Apparently, the Gamekyo team managed to get a glimpse of Sony's conference rehearsal at Leipzig and have come away with a few juicy bits of info.

According to Gamekyo, it looks like a new Heavy Rain trailer will be shown during the Sony press conference along with some new footage of LittleBigPlanet. LBP producer Pete Smith will also be giving out more details about the game.

Another Sony title to be spotlighted at Leipzig will be "the new SingStar" for PS3, which will probably be the new next-gen SingStar SCEE's David Reeves promised to show at Leipzig. Keep checking back here for more updates.

Maybe it's a Sci-Fi horror.

Heavy Rain...

is being directed by the same people who did Fahrenheit and Omikron (both of which are thrillers). Chances are, it'll follow along the same lines. It's already been revealed, however, that it won't be a sequel of either Fehrenheit or Omikron, and that it'll be some film-noir thiller type set in a world without the supernatural or high sci-fi stuff (which both previous games had). What's always been said about Heavy Rain is that the characters and your interactions with them will be pivotal to both the gameplay and storyline. The video game poster may leave a clue on what the overall theme will be too. The poster had a complete subtitle to Heavy Rain - The Origami Killer. And just like in movie posters, Heavy Rain had a tagline: "How far are you prepared to go to save someone you love?" Pretty interesting, eh?
