Heavenly Sword: Stance video

What we have below is a video interview of Ninja Theory's chief development officer Nina Kristensen talking about the stance controls for their upcoming video game title, Heavenly Sword. We're pretty sure that you will be interested in this one, especially now that the demo for the title has been confirmed.

Basically, stance is concerned with the different weapons available to main heroine Nariko. Depending on her current enemies, you must choose between speed, strength, and other factors you believe is applicable at any given moment. Kristensen also shared that fans will be able to pick up almost anything in the environment and use it as weapon.

Heavenly Sword will be released sometime in Fall 2007.

It totally convinces me that I made the right decision in buying a PS3 instead of following the uneducated sheep like you to the store to buy an XBOX 360 as soon as it became available. I am not saying anything against the 360 except that a large percentage of it's owners are brain dead prepubescent imbeciles incapable of any argument more mature or thought out than yours is.

The first part of the movie show us how awesome the animation is. But the quality of the video s**K. From what i can see the graphic are not maximize but they use the cell to make animations and calculations that we never saw before.

Where's the blood at? Seriously, the game looks slick and all, but she's cutting up mad fools and not a drop of blood can be seen. Last I heard Ninja Theory was going for a Teen raiting for Heavenly Sword, from the looks of the latest demo this is apparently the case.

PS: Weak, they need a code for blood or something.

My main reason in not buying a 360 when it came out was because of bad experiences with the Xbox's audience, and IMO, Live's only gone down hill. Sorry, I just don't like the 12 year olds singing to me as I try to play Halo 2.

GoW is AWESOME!!!!!

HS graphics are amazing, combat looks fluid and very cinematic, a lot of WOW moments thats for sure!

Story sounds pretty interesting, this title will be a must have. Well, probably Gamespot will find the way to give a 8.6 score :(

The combat is as fluid as the worst kung-fu movie ever....Seriously, how noobi'ish does it have to be....the guys in the background move around and wait for you to finish beating up the one guy you are fighting, then decide to attack afterwards.....

Either the world this takes place in is full of so much honour that even petty henchmen will only fight one on one.....orrr, it's an extremely noobed out and easy game......either way, Ninja Gaiden will own it.....

The combat looks like it's made for 4 year olds.

Seriously, while she is fighting one person the henchmen around her just move around, look like they will attack, then move away and wait for you to beat your one guy, but you are free to attack them....

Pretty lame if you ask me.....either PS3 has horrible AI capabilities or they made this game WAY too easy, so little kids can play it.....

Either way, Ninja Gaiden will own it....

PS3 = .001% failure rate

360 = 70% failure rate (compiled from 10 friends with 360's including myself)

I think there showcasing the game...not how much you can get beat up in it. If you paid attention to and/or seen all the videos on Crysis, the devs themselves said they had God mode on....and the AI was shooting...maybe you didn't notice the player taking damage because they can't, but that's a moot point....the AI in this doesn't even attack....also, some videos of crysis were just to show off the technology behind the Crysis engine and not the game itself.....I honestly can't say what you are refering to, gimme a link to prove the point....or quit making things up...

The enemies DO JUST SIT THERE...look at the fuxing video....

What are you basing your judgement on that this will be an awesome ass game.....the enemies just sitting there ? or the fat boss ? or the cut scenes with bad animations ? Please, tell me what you observed to say it's so great ?

I have nothing against PS3....jesus, i'm comparing this to ANOTHER FREAKING PS3 GAME....you freaks are just too damned defensive.....

If I actually saw something in this that looked great I would give it kudos....at this point, the only thing that impresses me are the waterfalls....great....

In all seriousness, the Cell Engine is not crap. Simply no one has been able to utilize it fully yet, and they probably won't be able to for quite some time.

As for the AI in the video, I'm sure the game was either set to a very easy difficulty level, or for demoing purposes the AI was turned down to a very low level.
