Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword PS3 - Image 1If you're a PlayStation 3 owner, then you are probably familiar with Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword. The game just got better with the release of patch 1.10.

This latest update added DualShock 3 support to the game. This means that fans of the title will finally be getting the rumble support that they've been asking for.

What might surprise players is the fact that the size of the download is a hefty 18 MBs, which seems a bit too large for the implementation of rumble in a game. There may be other changes in this update that they haven't mentioned,  so if you're extra vigilant, you may just notice what other changes they've implemented.

If you're lucky enough to have a DualShock 3 and Heavenly Sword, you might want to patch your system and try out the game with rumble. Hey you might even discover a few of the alleged secrets in the game.

» 18mb too large?

I wouldn't exactly say that 18mb is too large for just adding rumble support. Look at the size of the rest of the game. There are probably numerous places where they had to add extra code, telling the system to make the controller rumble. Perhaps they did fix a few minor bugs as well, but that's pretty common. But, the point is, everytime the controller has to rumble, it has to be written in the code somewhere, and the controller doesn't only rumble for the main character, it rumbles with outside effects, cgi's, everything.

» That's possible

That could be true, but it would be nice if Ninja Theory decided to throw in a little bonus for fans of the game.
