Heavenly Sword to have multiplayer in the future? - Image 1

In an interview with EuroGamer, Heavenly Sword co-founder Tameem Antoniades had confirmed that their game is more or less 90% complete now. Right now, they're only doing some testing and bug exorcising. All that, right in time for a heavenly release this September. But once it does get released, is there anything else we can expect in the future?

Antoniades also dropped some info of possibly incorporating a multiplayer feature in the game. He mentioned that it won't be available during launch, but could later be rolled in. In any case, he assures everyone that Ninja Theory has set their eyes on such a feature:

There's no multiplayer mode in Heavenly Sword as our focus was always to create an intense personal experience; it would have been too damn complex to deal with that as well. We did, however, develop the combat system using multiplayer test levels, as it's a great way of soak testing and balancing it. So who knows? Maybe we will decide to go down that route sometime soon. And when we do, it won't just be slapped-on to please marketing tick-boxes. You can be assured that we have our sights on multiplayer.

game i'm most excited about, Lair doesn't even interest me.

it's a good thing that they didn't include multiplayer outright cause it might mess with the production of the game but as a downloadable content then it just makes it better!!

It's a single player action! but multi would be cool to add for a One on One battle colloseum.

I would rather have a awesome lengthy single player game with lots of unlockables and replay value than have the focus be more on multi-play. But multi-player would be cool.

Your gaystation game will not even reach a 9.0 on gamespot or ign because There's no multiplayer mode in Heavenly Sword. Thats why PS3 is a stupid gaming 2.5 online console.

____

Phil Harrison should have placed PS3 in gaming 2.5 instead of gaming 3.0

The title does look good. But I'd be surprised if it's longer than 12 hours of game play. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Oh right, he doesn't have the stones to actually sign up, just the stupid unregistered name.

This is one of those games I've been waiting on.

September is going to be a good month.

that's not the real Common Sense. At least I think not. He might have the same bitter attitude towards the PS3, but he wouldn't sink so low and belittle himself to point where he would call it the "gaystation". That would be equivalent to when people call each other "noobs" and think they're the sh*t.

That's because he's just a stupid kid, normal people usually don't write such stuff. He obviously has some problems with Playstation, jealous kid get a life.

I didn't expect multiplayer in Heavenly Sword. I'm surprised. Thumbs up!

# Looking average so farGuest 2007-05-16 22:18
Well looking at what I have seen so far this game is looking very average in the graphics department, I think this is going to need multiplayer to boast its replay value time or its going to be yet another flop..

Yeah the footage is below what I expected. I would put Uncharted: Drake's Fortune ahead of this in terms of game play, story line and fun. The Heavenly sword story looks kinda stupid and game play looks hella repetitive. From what I've seen that is.
