Haze to remain a PlayStation 3 exclusive |

We picked up word that Ubisoft reps have explained the status of PlayStation 3 shooter Haze. According to two independent Ubisoft representatives, Haze will forever be a PS3 exclusive.The news comes from Play.com Live, where Ripten managed to talk to two different Ubisoft representatives. "When asking both on whether the game will ever come out for the Xbox 360, " notes their report, "they said in a resolute fashion that the game is not just a PS3 timed exclusive, but will never make its way onto any other platform."
If Haze is as good a shooter as it touts itself to be, then this exclusivity for the PS3 may very well drive more people into getting a console just for the game. In any case, we'll keep checking for additional information on this report, especially to see if they change their minds in the future.

I think the game could be fun, but man the premise/story seems lame... Maybe it's that live action trailer that came out for it. But if the game's really good, then awesome! :)
The same was said about Resident Evil 4. It was gonna be a Gamecube exclusive as told by its producer (he even said he would chop his head off if RE4 came to the PS2). Lost Planet was another exclusive that migrated to another console. Its hard for me to think that this game will be exclusive for PS3 "forever".

But, you must consider that the Gamecube was not a strong platform, same thing for the 360. (at least in Japan) Even if the PS3 is the worst selling next Gen System, you also have to consider that its also the most expensive one. And even beause of that the PS3 is gaining momentum. So it wond be a bad idea if Ubi-Soft would give an exclusive game to the only platform with future.
This game will not be a console pusher unless it is seriously *****ing insane, like Gears of War. I'll buy the game if its good, but I don't think that people would buy a PS3 for it. Hell, even if the game is as great as Gears of War it might not be a console pusher. Simply because Gears of War came during a dry season for console games and made everyone turn their heads, while this game is coming out during the same time frame as GTAIV, Ninja Gaiden 2, MGS4 and many more like Killzone, Resistance and Gears of War 2 if you want to look a little further ahead.
Well, it's being made by Free Radical, so you must be out of your *****ing mind to even THINK this game won't be EPIC. Free Radical is a team comprised of former devs that worked on The World is Not Enough and Goldeneye 007. Now, they've done TimeSplitters, and are also working on TimeSplitters 4. I haven't played it yet, but I will buy Haze regardless. Now, everyone else without a PS3 will say the game sucks, just because it's now a 100% exclusive to PS3.
And Gears of War had a better one? :) Seriously, the Mole Men invaded Earth.
I agree with solid()snake! The PS3 is third in sales but those sales are a good 11million, so it's no slouch. With MGS4, GT5, GTA4, FFXIII, MotorStorm2, Killzone2, Resistance2, LPB and other huge gaming all coming very soon (in the next year), Sony has only up to go. Also, the GC sold like 13million total units by the end of it's cycle and Capcom wanted to make money off of the game. Where better to send it than the 110million+ base of the PS2?

Anyways I agree with Seoulfood, The story seems boring (in my opinion the graphics aren't even that good along with gameplay). I hoping the delay will deliver and change my mind about the game. . . cause I'm still hopeing for the best.
Sony paid to keep it exclusive it's that simple.FPS sell well on the 360,but there's noway Sony will lose another exclusive to MS.

Actually glad that its a PS3 exlcusive, I just dont trust anything these days due to some producers saying one thing and then the parent companies do the exact opposite.
The predator mode of farcry predator on x360 is really amazing (played at a friend's house), and I really hope this game will offer the same kind of splitscreen fun, with crazy modes and stuff (hoping for more modes than farcry predator, who had around 6...). Anyway, looking good.

It won't be a guaranteed console-pusher because it doesn't do anything particularly new. Gears, honestly, was good because it had unprescedented graphics on any console. I mean It's pretty whatever now, but that's what made it amazing. Haze could be GREAT! but nothing screams BUY-IT except for the producers. But there's always a chance it could be the life-changing game some people want it to be. We'll have to wait and see.
I hope Sony keeps it up. They can kinda afford to considering Blu ray sales are surging.
