Haze Rumor Proof - Image 1

Rumors have not left Haze alone especially regarding its exclusivity on the Sony PlayStation 3. This time around, the source of the speculation is a message at the end of the Haze demo which mentions that the "four-player cooperative campaign" feature is exclusive only on the PS3.

This has triggered speculation that if the feature is only available for the Sony PS3 then there could be other versions of the game which won't have this co-op mode. Some believe these are the Xbox 360 and the PC versions. However, game developer Free Radical has already confirmed Haze's PS3 exclusivity twice, once in March and another in April.

Publisher Ubisoft tells us that Haze will definitely come on May 23. So stay tuned here at QJ.NET for the latest developments.

GAH!`

Okay not to sound like a jackass but it's not a timed exclusive it's a total 100% PS3 exclusive why? Because SONY bought the rights to the game, therefore it's a part of Sony saying it'll go to the 360 and PC is like saying, Gears of War is gonna hit the Wii. It's just not gonna happen.

No.

Who picks up on this? It's just saying that its got 4 player campaign and its exclusive to the PS3. If its been confirmed to be ps3 exclusive twice, then it IS.

Oh great

Now the rumors are going to start all over again, just like MGS4. Well, people certainly are hopeful I'll give them that. But like mupet said, SONY owns the rights to this game so it's obviously only going to be on the Playstation 3..

i honestly dont care

i played the demo. i stopped playing halfway through. to do what, you ask? homework. i actually thought to myself, "I actually want to do homework more than play this game." That's sad. i hate homework.

not bad

well then I guess, there should be more games like this.

...

yeah, these pathetic fanboys.... Just like with the Bioshock rumors... BTW: a 4-player coop campaign exclusive would absolutely make no sense. Why should only this exclusive?

Haze Demo

Comment #1 is correct, and Free Radical already confimed it to be a PS3 exclusive. Anyway, I found the demo to be quite engaging, albeit not showcasing the most vital components of the game (i.e. Multiplayer).

....

haha good one cizzar. About the demo, I have to say, It's a good game, but nothing revolutionary...
by DNAgent - 2008-05-12 07:21:09
Not to mention that

this demo is over a year old. The actual game will be better than this (though I thought the demo was good anyways).

No no, its saying that its the first game to have 4 player co-op campaign. :P

Graphics

The graphics on haze are pretty bad in my opinion.. I already expected this by videos and stuff I've seen. Gameplay was nothing special for me either. Seems like a typical game. Its not a bad game. . . Its just typical.

Well as another user said

I believe the demo is around about a year old (why they would release such an old demo is beyond me), but here's what leads me to believe said statement is true, if you look at the initial work on HAZE the demo matches visually to it, compared to the new work and so on

Sony Rights?

Its nothing like saying Gears of War is gonna hit the Wii because M$ published that game where as Ubisoft is publishing Haze. Also, Sony does not own the rights to this game Ubisoft and Free Radical do. Although I hope it stays exclusive.
by F34RM3 - 2008-05-13 06:58:41
Actually

Yes Sony does own the rights they bought them in the game's initial development, hence why all other iterations dropped off the grid, and actually EPIC games developed Gears with help from MS, the only reason Gears isn't multi is because MS owns the rights to it. Another example of this would be Uncharted or Resistance they were developed by Naughty Dog, and Insomniac game studios with help from Sony (though even if they weren't they wouldn't be multi).
