Rock Band Stratocaster - Image 1Fans voiced out, and Harmonix wasted no time to address guitar controller problems many people are experiencing when playing Rock Band (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3). Through a post on the official community forums, Harmonix admitted that strum bars of early guitars are "imperfect."

Here's a snippet of the forum post:

Many of you have contacted us regarding your guitar controllers. As sometimes happens when new products first go into manufacturing, we discovered an imperfection with the strum bar in an early production run of guitars that were shipped at launch.

Harmonix assured everyone that changes have been made and the next batch of guitar controllers won't have problems. Those who own failing guitars are advised to contact Electronic Arts' support website for replacements.

Aside from guitars not registering or doubling strums, Harmonix took note of compatibility issues involving the PS3 version of Rock Band. "These issues have our full attention," said Harmonix, before asking consumers for patience while developers sort things out.

Are you having issues with yours? I actually thought those weren't half bad...but the guitar is...yea...feels like it's gonna break in your hands. I was planning to do the same as you, wait awhile, then send it in.

This reminds me of Guitar Hero 2s launch and the crappy guitars that came out of that. Harmonix has a serious issue with quality, and I'm scared to buying Rock Band. Good thing we cant buy it in Canada yet, I probably would buy it the second I saw it in stores. Looks so damn fun.
