The monster FPS that is Killzone 2 is, without doubt, one of the biggest releases on the PlayStation 3 so far. With a Metacritic score of 91, over a million in sales after just two months of release, and an experience unlike any seen out of the genre, Killzone 2 stands with the recognition that it just might be the best FPS ever to hit console gaming. Guerrilla Games nailed this one good, but they're not done yet - Guerrilla confirms: they're not done with the PS3 just yet.

Speaking to TheGamerAccess.com, senior producer Steven ter Heide reveals that there is still much to do with the PS3. "PlayStation 3 has a very long life ahead still, and weÂ’re certainly not done developing for this platform. We still see enough opportunities to get better and pushing the platform even further," he said. At its heaviest loads, Killzone 2 manages to push only 60% of the Cell Processor's SPUs - it's not even close to maxing out the PS3's power.

It wasn't clear, however, if the new game would be along the lines of Killzone 3 or if it will be new IP. Right now, Guerrilla Games is still tied down to working on KZ2 DLC, but Steven ter Heide's little tease sends a chill of anticipation for what's to come. Will they be able to max the PS3 out? If they do, that'd be one glorious sight to to behold.

» Killzone 3

If they start on Killzone 3 for the PS4, they'll have it out only a year after it launches! Also, SPU load does not a bottleneck make.

» ....?

PS3 has a 10 year life span and they could start making it now.

I see. Well, let me tell you something. Killzone 2 was a complete and total ripoff of Super Smash Brothers Melee.

How? I don't know. The concept of sarcasm is lost on you both, so I may as well try gibberish.

» Why

Why would you even assume it'd take another 7 years. The ONLY reason it took so long to make this current game was because they started it a very years before the PS3 was even out, they built a whole new engine from the ground up, made sure the graphics were in tune. Remember when they pushed it back like 4 months? It was because they were tired of HiDef games looking pretty in the foreground, but ugly in the distance and so they decided to be the first game to fix that. But NOW, they have their engine, they have a better idea of what it's like working with this console. They can easily pump out a game now quicker and do it for a LOT less money. hahahaha, 7 years...idiot.

Don't understand sarcasm... idiot.

» Why

call someone an idiot for something that nobody really has any idea about. Do you work for Guerilla Games? no you dont... meaning you have no fckin clue if it would take 7 years or not.

I just dont get the point of being disrespectful to someone just for displaying their opinion.
