Grand Theft Auto 4 is THE GAME OF THE YEAR. No matter what you say, this is the game people are waiting for, this is the game that'll become the game of the year, this game will sell lots lots of xbox 360s and ps3s. So far I'm impressed with Rockstar, looks like they will take this whole "grand theft auto experience" to a whole new level...

Now dont get me wrong here ive had probably hundreds of hours of fun with the previous gta games it just what is it that there doing in THIS gta that i didnt do in the others? I may be spacing some major features but the only thing different is more variety in pedestrians/cars, better graphics, less load times, and some sort of change in the mission structure. I haven't been able to read this article but i doubt it says anything more then what others already know. Rockstar while at times they can be truly excellent(gta3) and others times they can be very mediocre(portin g psp games to a ps2? manhunt-it sold on nothing more then the shock factor). While i do have faith in them i just hope they do something drastic in gta4 otherwise i may just rent/buy it used and return it. In my opinion they should completely re-work the way AI responds to the character. If the game comes out and i can still run a red light, knock a light-pole over, and then peel out on the sidewalk in-front of peds and cops alike with people only getting out of my way(or if you so much as rear end a cop and they attempt to kill you) ill be very unimpressed. Now im not saying it should be super realistic I just think it could have to much more depth if they tone down the absurdness.

What system will run this game better. The XBOX 360 vs the PS3. I can't wait for this game to come out but I also can't wait to see the difference between these consoles.



I've heard that the graphics will not be much different between the consoles. I still believe the XBOX will have a small improvement in the graphics though.



I own a PS3 and it is hard saying the XBOX is better but that's what I think. It's hard to guess how much space this game needs. Obviously it's got to fit onto a disk for the XBOX, this means if it's larger than the XBOX disk space, it will need to be compressed which leads to lower sound quality etc.



The PS3 could have an advantage with audio quality because it just has so much space on the disk. It will be a long time before games on the Blu-Ray will need to be compressed.



I don't know. But right now I wish I worked at Rock Star. I could be playing GTA4!!! If I did, I'd leak as much videos I can before I got fired LOL!!!

@alex You really think GTA games have great stories? Theyre story are all bits and pieces of movies(vice city=scarface SA=so many different bits from early 90s gang movies although gta3 from my memory was pretty original) great voice overs? yea right, so many times in that game the characters will be shooting at someone but there voice doesn't seem like it, etc. Character development...lol really? why is it that CJ/Tommy portray horrible emotion in terms of what they've done previously (such as a person asking you to do something "bad" and the cj/tommy will show restraint regardless of what youve done previously) and none of the characters ever actually go anywhere they are the same person at the end of the game as they are at the beginning, no development at all. I can agree with the open world and that the games have EXCELLENT humor. And don't let a review site/magazine sway you ive read tons of reviews for games that were very high scores that just don't play well and vice versa there is also a large amount of shady dealings that do happen in the game-dev/game-journalist relationships(g ame company paying for the journalists to get trips and etc). They're actually was a article up here recently that talked a bit bout some of it not that im saying they always lie just that often times reviews are "padded". Still none of that changes that rockstar HASNT shown anything for gta4 that really makes me want to buy it.
