GTA IV commercial makes late-night appearance on FX channel |

The image above was reportedly seen by a handful of fans over at the FX channel's infomercial slot which was aired in both North America and Canada. Aside from the logo which is unmistakably for Grand Theft Auto IV (360 and PS3), there was also a countdown timer in the background, presumably ticking away until the launch date of highly-anticipated Rockstar Games title in October.
Furthermore, fans added that the advertisement was aired for 30 minutes, from 2:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. EST, after which the familiar voice saying "Not Yet Rated" was heard. Rockstar then confirmed that the commercial that was broadcasted was actually official and legit. However, the company wasn't able to mention if a similar TV ad will appear in Europe, or in any other territory for that matter.
The first trailer, hopefully containing images and stuff aside from a ticking clock, will be released on March 29 at the game's official site. At the moment, the site is still hosting the same stuff that was seen on TV, so you can actually go there to see it for yourself.
On a slightly related afterthought, we wonder if the development for Grand Theft Auto IV is affected by the on-going Microsoft and Take-Two hoopla? Hmmm...

it was pretty weird ...i was watching mythbusters like in 2 in the morning ...during the commercials i was flipping through the channels n i saw it. it was like tick...tick..tick every second.
