GT5 release date spotted at Target?

Here we go again. A release date has been spotted for Gran Turismo 5 over at Target. Whether or not it's the real thing, though, that's another thing.

The picture below shows a "Game Release Date: 03.03.10". We've been previously told it's going to be out in Japan sometime Autumn this year, and March is certainly not in Autumn. Sony has yet to comment on this new bit of informaton, though, nor have they said anything about North American and European release dates.

Actually, it's 03.30.10 or March 30th, 2010. Doesn't really matter though, since it's not officially confirmed anyways.

Release date in article needs to be corrected to "Game Release Date: 03.30.10"

He was stating that because the article says 03.03.10 but the picture says 03.30.10 so it appears by your comment that it did need to be clarified since you didn't notice.

That's because in the states and maybe some other countries they do the date that way, so means 30.3.2010

Wow... really... I guess when you said Idiot you were talking about yourself. Look at the article... look at the picture... then look at what you just said. Swapping the month and day doesn't make the number change.

Anyone noticed the star [ * ] at the end of the date, i did, looked at the bottom and the small text says "Game release date subject to change, go to target.com for upto date release dates"

So it's pretty obvious that target are just trying to cash in on early pre orders when they know the game wont be coming out on the release date they've stated. Game in the UK did the same thing, and i fell for it.

I saw that release date on Amazon for a short while a few months ago, just one of the many rumoured release dates.

After playing the Psp version my expectations for PD's quality control have been flushed right down the sh***er, somehow they managed to suck any sense of fun from it so this had better blow the doors off every other racing game to make up for it.

Wanna know what Sony's going to say? "We don't comment on rumors" or "There's no official release date for our product". These are the "classic official responses" to anything PS3 related.

We've had those presale items for over 4 months when there was a tentative release date in March. I know at my store we pulled them down until they can send us new cards with correct dates.

So for all the people that think it's a secret sony plot. It's not it's all Target's fault.
