Grand Theft Auto IV can take 100 hours to finish |
Ó
After spending so much time trying to find those horseshoes and the mythical Bigfoot, we've always expected Grand Theft Auto IV (Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360) to offer hours of quality gaming time. Fortunately, it seems Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games won't be letting us down - GTA4 is said to take around 100 hours to complete."If you're not in a rush and you answer the phone when it rings it'll take about 100 hours to complete," said Rockstar's spokesperson. Protagonist Niko Bellic's cellphone will be a major source of sidequests, so we can imagine it being a very handy tool that saves us from searching every nook and cranny to find something to do.
It's interesting to note that the hours you'll be spending in Grand Theft Auto IV will actually be heavier on main missions than side missions. "It's harder to distinguish between main and side missions - there are loads of both," Rockstar's rep added.
Previous Grand Theft Auto titles were fairly easy to finish when you do story-related errands alone. While non-linear, it was possible to pick which missions count and end up beating the game in a shorter time. Here's to hoping GTA4 will have more main content, which already seems to be the case.

100 hours??? that's it... my wife is gonna leave me.
I've had about enough GTA, but I guess that's great. Then again, Twilight princess promised 70 hours and gave ~30...
"100 hours??? that's it... my wife is gonna leave me." That wouldn't make much sense. If you cut off your hands then how will you play GTA?!
100hrs to complete + episodic content + getting all achievements. Looks like you're going get your money's worth. Won't be close to oblivion though, I played it about 300hrs with one character including the DLC.
Funny because that picture looks like the "mythical Bigfoot"!
wow Quixand got pwnt XD
100 hours with or without side missions, hidden packs, monster stunts etc.?
okay, I just read the article again. No need to answer anymore
I too have a char with over 300 hours on the Xbox. Plus in my other chars, and my chars on the PC, and I've probably got a good 1000 hours of playtime in. The only game that will touch that is the next Elder Scrolls
-claps hands- Congrats on graduating middle school DNAgent!
You two are morons. The 100 hours??? is one question while the next one says that this game is so long, and that he will be playing it for so long that his wife will leave him. 3 If you guys actually read and decipher what he says maybe you would be smart. Also DNAgent WTF does that mean? "If you cut off your hands then how will you play GTA?!" How does that even remotely relate to his wife leaving him? Man you really need to stay in school and learn English.
