Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: Japan gets an update this Friday - Image 1

Japan's official Gran Turismo site is sending word that they will be releasing an online update for the region's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue tomorrow, March 28. The patch, designated as GT5 Prologue's Spec II, will be free for download, although SCEJ didn't specify what it will carry.

IGN in particular speculates that the patch update's game copy with the extra features that were included in North America's and Europe's copies. Aside from the patch announcement, the GT site further released some reminders on how the patch will affect your copy of GT5 Prologue:
  • Any replay saved before the update will be removed.
  • Your personal event data will be cleared.
  • All your cash, the cars in your garage, and all your individual class clear data through Class A will remain.
Consider this a heads-up if you happen to own a Japanese copy of this Polyphony Digital title. Visit us again in case we pick up more details on what this update will carry.

» Not only Japan

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue isn't just out in Japan now it's also out in New Zealand so it's probably out in Australia to.

Been downloading the update for over an hour now must be a pretty big file.
