Beautiful... except

I don't understand why there is so much emphasis place on the Skyline in all of the GT games. I do understand that they can be powerful cars... but they are just god-awful ugly to look at. Maybe they're just not as appealing in North America as they may be in other parts of the world. I don't know.

Dunno 'bout you, but...

I love the look of the Skyline GT-R's. Most of my car enthusiast buddies do, too. Though I agree that they do go overboard with the myriad versions of these cars that are available. They could cut the number in half and still have more than enough. I'm a Subaru fan personally, and I think they've gone a little overboard with the number of WRX STi's in the line-ups, too. And Mitsubishi EVO's, too. These are all great cars, but they should seriously think about devoting some of that time spent to some other vehicles. I enjoyed the classic muscle cars that were in GT2, even though they couldn't really compete well with all the rice rockets head-to-head. For what they were, though, they were fun and I'd like to see more of them, or at least a real significant return of them. We've only seen a smattering of them featured in GT3 + 4. Alternatively, I'd like to see the Race Modification option return from GT2. My impression for the reason they get so much love in these games is because Nissan was the first automaker to get on board and show some enthusiasm in the series. I believe they were also the first to give free licensing to PD for use of their cars in the games. And it's also the reason that they allowed Kazunori Yamauchi-san to have have a hand in the design of the all new GT-R that's been featured in most of the promotional material for GT5 thus far. Nissan + Polyphony Digital + Love.

Hmm....

that last plus sign was supposed to be an equal sign. Not sure why it changed it to a plus sign. Must've been some goofy HTML thing...
