In the latest making-of video from Polyphony Digital head honcho Kazunori Yamauchi tells us all about the inclusion of the Mercedes 2011 SLS AMG in Gran Turismo 5. A treat for hardcore car fanatics, but that's not the only interesting part in the video. There's also this certain box that Yamauchi is shown holding. One labeled Gran Turismo 5.

The box itself is emblazoned with the typical markings for a Sony game box -- the SCE stamp, the new PS3 logo, and the Gran Turismo 5 logo, of course. Curiously, the box contains three different Blu-ray cases -- one black, one red, and one blue. This may not be the final packaging, but the contents of those three discs are indeed quite tantalizing. Perhaps this is for a CE?

You can see the packaging at the 0:53 mark in the video below.

I don't think this is the retail version. I think it's a release for the press and game magazines with bonus content like development processes and so on.

» totally agree

a bit weird looking for a retail version but the GT colour scheme is there (black, red and blue) from the logo. chance its a limited or collectors edition though

» Ps3 != 360

imagine the size of the game if it were on 2 or 3 discs. I bet its different content on those discs.

» Probably.....

Black case is game, Red is making of the game video in Blu-ray :D, the other one might be extra content.

Extra Content: episodes of topgear?, videos of how the cars were added?, content for psp?

» well

could be a Collector's Edition.

» Probably...

Yes, the black case is for sure the Game. The blu one probably a BlyRay video. And the red one... girls and cars videos?
