Gran Turismo HD - Image 1Sony PlayStation Network game Gran Turismo HD Concept has been in the Japanese online service for quite some time now and fans have given it praise for providing an adequate taste of things to come when Gran Turismo 5 finally hits. It comes as a surprise that developer Polyphony Digital has recently decided to pull it out of PSN.

Beginning Sunday in Japan, the download from the PSN Store will be taken down to prepare for the impending release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. What surprises many is why the game is being taken down when the fact remains that North American and European fans have yet to sample it.

So far, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) have both been mum regarding the topic. At this point, it is apparent that Gran Turismo HD Concept may disappear without Western audiences ever getting behind its wheel.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue hits Japan's stores and PSN before this year ends. No announcements or release dates have been made for North America and Europe as of late. We'll fill you in as updates come.

» huh?

okay ... what am I not getting here!?

GT HD is going to go offline, the GT5 Prologue Demo ist coming october. We all knew that. And we all (Europeans, Americans...) played GT HD.

so the only question is wether (and when) "we" will get the GT5P Demo, right?!

admittedly, English ain't my first language, but this "news" is confusing and seems ... wrong.

thanks for explaining to me ;)

In the US theres Gran Turismo HD Concept v1.2

So idk if you got your info wrong but we in the US already played the demo/game (Its actually a downloadable game not a demo). Im in florida and im on my US account looking at it right now.

» They didnt get the info wrong

QJ bloggers are crap. You could send them a news tip that Sega are going to buy Sony and they'd probably report it.

The fact is GTHD has been out on every PSN store globally.

If you want reliable news dont use QJ blogs.

» Quick Jump is stupid

Either I haven't noticed it before, but it seems every week, there are double digits of f'ing retarded blogs that don't make sense, are pure bullcrap, or both.

QJ is just starting to piss me off with how stupid they are.

I've reported things to them that they haven't talked about for a month or more, or haven't even talked about because if they were to release the info, it would show how stupid they are.

An example is of Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon on the PSP in the U.S. They said it hasn't even been confirmed in the U.S. yet (as of a couple months ago), even though when they said that, it was confirmed for more than a month before!!!!

» ^uh..

So they are wrong.

Thats what I said smart one..

that game was like the first thing I downloaded when I got my PS3 (in january when it was released). So I know its been there for a while.

i think the comment above me is irrelevant to the topic.

both Temprix and Unregistered comments are TRUE.

The GTHD Demos on US/EU are TAKEN OFF some weeks ago. JP GTHD Demo has also been removed (Sep30). GTHD on HK PSN is still there, but heck its in traditional Chinese version.

anyways we in japan will be getting the retail version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue this October and a PSN Demo Download a week later. gaijins be jealous, be very jealous. yes i have already pre-ordered in 7-11. and tehy are on Time usualy.
