Indeed, a new Katamari Damacy game is coming out for the PS3 - and it's not the ancient Beautiful Katamari that got scrapped for Sony's console. Famitsu got a jump start on the announcement yesterday - but! here's something even better than a magazine scan: an actual video trailer for the all-new Katamari Damacy Tribute!

Some of the levels look familiar, yeah? Well, it isn't called "Tribute" for nothing!

The info on the Famitsu article was rather sparse. It only revealed that the game will play out on full 1080p HD resolution, and bring with it a new visual style. We can see that in the trailer: the game's getting some cel-shaded graphics!

Another new aspect I noticed in the trailer is a creation aspect! Instead of rolling stuff up into your katamari (yeah, cause some destruction and pandemonium along the way), there seems to be a level where you get to fill the world with flowers and grass and all manner of greenery as you roll along!

As you can see from the trailer, they list the soundtrack of the game (woot for "Lonely Rolling Star" again!). The game is said to have PSN support, but Namco Bandai hasn't spilled everything about that yet.

-?????-

So the main character is a rolling pile of garbage? Well its still better than Make 10. Add two numbers so the answer = 10, come on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO4EqRSp7AE
