Sorry, Europe. But you're not getting God of Wars I & II on the PS3. Well, just not this year. Hopefully.
We are currently looking into options to bring God of War I & II to SCEE consumers on PS3; however it will not be possible to release the games this calendar year. We will provide further information in due course.
That would be a Sony rep talking in an official statement, name withheld presumably for his own safety. North American peeps, you're getting it this holiday. Maybe you'd like to send a copy down to your good ol' European buddy, eh? Come on, spread the holiday cheer. It will be region-free, after all. Sony said so.

f-ck this!!.. so looking forward to this game on dec but i guess i dont have a choice but to wait since i wont be able to get a US version.. i hope it gets released early january then..
Why don't you Europeans play Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Uncharted 2, CoD:MW2, Dead Rising 2, The Beatles Rock Band, Tekken 6, Assasins Creed 2, and Ratchet and Clank Future for the meantime? I haven't mentioned some other games that might be good such as Dragon Heart and Army of Two 2. Anyways don't trip about GoW coming out late because at least you have time to actually get what you want. This is $600 worth of games and there are still more on this list not mentioned.

Thats close to £200 worth of games here. Not inc beatles rock band coz unless you're 40+ you shouldn't care about the beatles. unless you're some deluded idiot following some sort of crowd or what you're told to like.

You'd think after all these years that the industry would take issues such as localisation into account before the end of production.
Yeah, make it region free, so that everyone will import the game from America, where it is cheaper due to the current dollar-euro currency, everyone will have the game by the time it gets released in Europe and the european sales will suck, good job !

I'll take Uncharted 2 and Ratchet + Clank but none of those other games appeal to me even in the slightest. In fact several of them are sequels to games I loathe (Tekken, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty)
Aren't all PS3 games 'region free' anyways or did I miss something? It's how I ended up with a US version of Warhawk that I only figured out was US when I bought all 3 expansion packs in a set and turned out they wouldn't work with it. Yet the game had downloaded updates just fine. Annoying.
