You could do a lot of things with a piece of wood and four wheels. For instance, you could move really fast and go up ramps and slide on rails and stuff, or slap someone with the wood and then throw the wheels at their face. With Tony Hawk's Project 8, we're kinda sticking to the first one.
Activision's Project 8 is supposed to be vastly different from previous Hawk games, with improvements in the physics engine, control scheme changes and the use of motion capture to better show off board skills. At the same time, they're keeping some of the beloved staples, such as the level types and challenges (and the tricks, of course!). Of course, we won't agree completely until we see a demo, but a trailer would probably be really good now.
If only we could get one... waitaminute... *looks through duffel bag*
