German Activist Calls EA a Pig of a Company, EA Reacts - Image 1Who needs Jack Thompson when you have entertainment like this?

The story starts at an anti-violence conference in Munich last week, when Regina Pfeiffer referred to Electronic Arts as "that pig of a company.

Pfeiffer is the sister of Christian Pfeiffer, outspoken critic of violent video games and head of Lower Saxony's Criminological Research Institute.

According to reports, Ms. Pfeiffer said her pig comment over not being able to sue EA over a violent video game, since the studio isn't headquartered in Germany. (Dead Space [360, PS3] is a likely candidate, although last we heard, it was banned in Germany. The game was released earlier this month.)

EA's PR guy in Germany replied, saying that he was glad he wasn't able to attend the conference as it would have been a waste of his time. He also demanded an apology:

Should Mrs. Regina Pfeiffer have actually lost her composure to the point of describing Electronic Arts as being a ‘a pig of a company’, then I can only recommend that she apologises in full – at least, [she should] if she wishes to be taken seriously again in the future...

The [conference] organisers had no interest in holding discussions with the people who manufacture the games that were being criticised there.

Initially, I found this very regrettable, because I had told the conference that I would be willing to hold a question and answer session. But now that I see how low the level of discussion obviously was, IÂ’m glad that I didnÂ’t waste my time.

Pigs the world over unanimously agree that they don't care, but they find the whole thing rather funny.

Please don't pay attention to them - especially Christian Pfeiffer. He's not entirely as bad as Jack Thompson, but an attention whore nontheless... Let's just let him be as unimportant as possible, okay?

Then you're completely outdatet. It has been released uncut weeks ago.

I stand (well, sit) corrected! Did some digging just to have something to link to. Revised the article, it should show up in a few minutes.

Well i agree with the lady EA indeed is a pig of a company but not for violent games, but for releasing the same ***** all over and over and over and over and just changing the sorry title screen with a new number 2008-2009 i feel pitty for the sorry bastards that spend their money buying a game that is virtually the same SHEET than the previous year version only with a different title screen and oh yeah good gracious a "new roster" (lol xD) or some ***** changed only like fifas, maddens and need for speed craps xD

» Still, would be cool...

...If in response to the accusation, EA actually creates some really bloody, violent game involving superhero pigs (or something like that).

Tekkenlord, I so much agree with you, but in one thing I don't agree: calling EA a pig. You are hurting the feelings of the poor pigs....

For 4ucks sake!!! I am tired of giving these @ss bandits web space!

EA cuts it's nose off despite it's face... Fine, let them do whatever alienates their customers as they see fit...

Bleeding heart 'save the children' groups and their groupies need to all be jailed. Look up my name in these forums for my take on that... just to reiterate - - These kind of organizations are wearing away that which makes us human beings.

For Ms Pfeiffer, just cause something on this planet made you realize you're not worthy of continuing on YOUR side of the gene pool, doesn't mean you get to breed out evolutionary inevitability...

Get yourself some more "D" cell batteries for your dild0 and leave the breeding to those that can advance humanity into the next millennium...
